The Green Synagogue. Synagogue in Delatichi.
A post-reminder of how the Jewish heritage (as well as the entire world historical heritage) is unsteady.
Today it’s here, and tomorrow who knows... Better not keep the visit to certain places on ice…
So, in the city of Brest (Belarus), Dzerzhinskogo Street, 25, the so called Green Synagogue has been
slowly falling into decay. Then it was completely dismantled and a new building was built in the same
place, resembling a dismantled one (see photos).
In Delatichi, Grodno region of Belarus, there used to be a synagogue in the center of the village, but now
there is nothing in that place. And only old maps and photographs remind of the building...
